It says it searches over 2 million rooms. A second, smaller link below that search box, labelled "Already booked? Tap and enter the price paid to find a better price now," lets you scope tracking to a booking you've already made instead. By RoomHawk's own FAQ, the product is currently in public beta.
Rate Ranger skips the search step entirely because it only handles the second case. You submit a hotel you've already booked through a form, on the assumption that tracking a hotel price after booking is the entire job. There's no hotel search, no destination browser, and nothing to configure before your booked price is on file and being checked against Agoda's rate on an adaptive schedule.

Where Rate Ranger is stronger
- Purpose-built for the already-booked case. There's no search step to work through first. The form is the whole setup, and it starts from your paid price every time.
- Out of beta. Rate Ranger's monitoring has been running in production, with a stated free price and no caveat about what changes later. RoomHawk describes itself as being in public beta right now.
- No account, no login. RoomHawk's site has a login system; Rate Ranger's form and email link are the entire interaction, with nothing to sign into.
- Free with nothing pending. RoomHawk's FAQ says its beta pricing carries no subscription, but doesn't say what happens once beta ends. Rate Ranger's price monitoring has no beta status to graduate out of.
