By using Rate Ranger (the "Service"), you agree to the following terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Service Description
Rate Ranger is an informational service that monitors publicly available hotel prices across third-party booking websites. We are not a hotel booking service, travel agency, or booking platform. We do not sell, resell, or facilitate hotel reservations.
When you forward a hotel booking confirmation to us, we periodically check publicly available prices for the same hotel, room type, and dates, and notify you by email if we find a lower price.
2. No Guarantee of Accuracy
All pricing information displayed by Rate Ranger is sourced from publicly available third-party websites and is provided strictly on an "as-is" basis. We do not guarantee:
- The accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any price shown
- That any price will still be available when you attempt to book
- That room types, amenities, or terms will exactly match your original booking
- That a lower price represents actual savings after considering cancellation fees, rebooking fees, or differences in room terms
Prices may change at any time without notice. You are solely responsible for verifying all prices, terms, and availability directly with the booking platform before making any booking or cancellation decisions.
3. No Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Rate Ranger, its operators, affiliates, and contributors shall not be liable for any:
- Pricing errors or discrepancies
- Missed savings opportunities
- Cancellation fees incurred as a result of acting on our notifications
- Loss of bookings, reservations, or deposits
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind
Your use of the Service and any decisions made based on the information we provide are entirely at your own risk.
4. Affiliate Links
Price drop alert emails may contain affiliate links to third-party booking platforms. When you click these links and complete a booking, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. This is how we fund the free tier of the Service.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any hotel chain, online travel agency, or booking platform.
5. Free Tier
The Service currently offers a free tier allowing monitoring of up to 3 concurrent bookings. We reserve the right to modify these limits, introduce paid plans, or change pricing at any time.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Submit fraudulent or fabricated booking information
- Attempt to overload, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the Service
- Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications
- Share your watch@rateranger.io address in public forums as a general-purpose email service
7. Termination
We reserve the right to stop monitoring any booking or suspend access to the Service at any time, with or without cause. You may stop using the Service at any time by unsubscribing via the link in any email, or by contacting us.
8. Modifications
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email to active users.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Rate Ranger operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
